Building Safe Homes. Restoring Stability. Honoring a Legacy.

Creating a future where every young woman in foster care has the support, stability, and opportunities needed to thrive.

Why this work matters

Aging out of care shouldn't mean aging out of hope.

Young women in foster care face challenges that most teenagers never imagine. The numbers tell us why a focused, trauma-informed home matters.

Our vision

Three pillars. One future worth building.

Safe Home

A residential environment where every young woman feels physically, emotionally, and psychologically secure.

Life Skills

Education, financial literacy, career readiness — the practical tools that make independence achievable.

Independence

A clear pathway to adulthood, supported by mentorship, community, and continued connection.

A community of women working together
Meet our founders

A family's love, turned into a future for others.

The Taylor Legacy Foundation was founded by family members who experienced, firsthand, the strength of a stable home. Today, they're building that same stability for young women who deserve it.

Common questions

Answers to what people ask us most.

A quick look at the questions we hear from donors, future board members, and community partners.

Why are you starting with adolescent girls?

+

Adolescent girls in foster care face unique challenges around stability, mental health, education, and preparation for adulthood. A focused population lets us build a strong, trauma-informed residential model during these critical years.

How does licensing work?

+

Pennsylvania residential group homes must meet specific Department of Human Services (DHS) requirements — policies, facility, staffing, safety, inspections, and ongoing compliance. We will not serve youth until every required approval is in place.

When will the home open?

+

Only after every licensing, staffing, safety, and regulatory requirement is fully satisfied. Our Roadmap page outlines the major milestones still ahead before opening day.

How are donations used?

+

Early gifts fund organizational development — legal formation, governance, licensing preparation, policy creation, fundraising infrastructure, and program planning. Every dollar moves us closer to opening.

How can I get involved?

+

Donate, join a committee, volunteer professional expertise, share our mission, connect us with community resources, or explore board service. We'd love to hear from you.

We're at the beginning of something inevitable. Help us build it.

Every contribution moves us closer to opening the doors of our first home.
